B2BProcess

About b2bprocess.com

b2bprocess.com is a reference library for the processes that run business-to-business companies — sales, marketing, customer success, revenue operations, finance, and partnerships. The goal is simple: one structured, definitive page per process, so that anyone setting up lead routing, a QBR cadence, or a churn win-back motion can find the complete picture in one place.

Most process knowledge lives in scattered blog posts written to sell a tool, or in private team wikis. This site treats processes the way an encyclopedia treats concepts: neutral, complete, consistently structured, and free to cite.

It's maintained by Ramin Assemi, former Head of Content at Close, the CRM built for small businesses and startups. Much of what's documented here comes from years spent studying and writing about sales, revenue, and customer-facing processes at Close and working alongside thousands of B2B teams.

How every page is structured

Every process page follows the same skeleton, in the same order:

  1. Definition — what the process is, what it is not, and when to implement it
  2. Step-by-step workflow — the numbered sequence of work, each step with a named owner
  3. Roles & responsibilities — who does what, in a table
  4. Tool stack — categories of tooling with representative examples (never sponsored)
  5. Key metrics — definitions, formulas, and typical targets
  6. Common failure points — how the process breaks in practice, the symptom, and the fix
  7. FAQ — the questions practitioners actually ask
  8. Downloadable SOP — the whole page compiled into a Markdown standard operating procedure you can adapt in your own wiki
